The 2009 Detroit Lions: What a Turnaround
Written by Troy Felsahr on March 17, 2010 – 4:02 pm -After a decade of torture for any and all fans of the NFL’s Detroit Lions, things might finally be headed in the right direction. Much of the Lions’ failures over the past 10 years stems from the management failures of Matt Millen, who was finally given the boot last year in Detroit.
With a new GM Schwartz in the mix, the franchise has very aggressively done everything they can to erase the legacy of the past 10 seasons. Many players have been shipped out, and others shipped in.
With a new roster consisting of a handful of rookies, not to mention newly acquired players, things are exciting in Detroit. Matt Stafford, Brandon Pettigrew, Larry Foote, Bryant Johnson, and others are giving the 2009 Detroit Lions a completely new face, and I couldn’t be more excited about it.
Even the fans are excited. Many fans packed it in before sunrise to see what their newly formed team was up to. Almost seemed like the fans were more excited at training camp than they were at any game in 2008.

Great Places to Ride Your Bike in Nebraska

There are still tons of enjoyable places to go riding. There are some hills in the eastern part of the state. Panorama Point is the highest point in Nebraska with an elevation of 5,424 feet. Below are some of the trails that the state of Nebraska has to offer.
The Pine Ridge Trials are close to Chadron have about 50 miles of state park trails that are well marked and in good order. There are trails here for any skill level. Intermediate to advanced riders can find some rocky, technical trials to test skills. You may even find come across a steep climb or two! There are camping spots near so you can spend more time seeing the area. There is much wildlife around there as well.
The Wilderness Trail near Lincoln offers 18 miles of trails for bike riding. The trails are not very challenging, however you ride on them all day for a super workout. Look out for hikers, equestrians, and even wildlife when riding.
