How to Win in Pump Paintball Playing

Written by Bob Pascal on February 13, 2010 – 11:06 am -

Paintball has come a long way from its conception. Much has evolved from its equipment to its rules. Because of so much development since 1970’s, paintball players tend to forget how it all started and to discriminate people who play paintball like those of the old days. Paintball of the old days would mean playing pump paintball. Unlike, the contemporary paintball game, which uses automatic paintball markers, pump paintball usually uses stock class paintball markers.

In order to eradicate the common stereotypes about it, people should further understand what pump paintball is all about because modern paintball games would not arise without having its foundations. Paintball games today would not be fun if the paintball prior to it was not fun and it would not be popular today if not because of how paintball was played before.

It is also important to practice and develop a paintball players accuracy in targeting their opponent because in pump paintball games, a player cannot afford to miss a shot. To be able to increase the accuracy, sighting systems would be a great deal of help. Whatever the sighting system of the gun is, may it be the open post sight or the electronic red dot, what is important is that the player has some help with his equipment. However, it would not be enough to have such sight systems. The player should also be familiar with his gun because the sight system would not be functional if the player does not know how the sight system works on his gun.

What a Paintball Sniper Needs to Have

Written by Tom Park on February 10, 2010 – 1:44 pm -

You must be skillful enough and have a right attitude to be a paintball sniper. But you need to be also equipped with the necessary weapons and tools that you will use in playing the extreme sport.

A paintball sniper is one of the most demanding and exciting role in playing paintball. Its role in the paintball field is usually the one that shoots the targets from a masked or hidden location. The paintball sniper must allow himself to be a stand-alone in a specific target, carefully tracking the opponent’s activities, and patiently waiting for perfect timing to execute an action. Generally, its role is to minimize the opponent’s ability to infiltrate the war field and prevent the opponent’s ‘distribution of tactics by performing his extra-abilities of target-shooting.

Here are discussed some of the weapons and equipments that a paintball sniper uses in playing paintball:

The guard, or the rear sniper, is responsible for shooting an opponent that may come in contact with the base or the flag, because once an opponent do, they might lose the game. The guard sniper must position himself somewhere close to the area being protected but the opponent will not notice him be hiding.

Get More From Your Paintball CO2 Tank

Written by John Smith on February 10, 2010 – 10:30 am -

If you want to get the most out of your CO2 tank, there are three ways that you can get the most out of it in terms of operation, performance and life.

If your paintball tank has a normal pin valve, you are missing out on the convenience of having an on/off valve. With an on/off valve on your paintball tank you can screw in your tank, turn on the valve to gas your gun up, and then when you’re done, simply turn it off.

Pin valves are annoying because they shorten the life of o-rings, and they are unpleasant to take off the gun. When you unscrew a tank with a pin valve, any CO2 left in the gun will blow out around the valve, which will sometimes ruin your o-ring. With an on/off valve all you have to do is turn off the tank, shoot out the remaining air in your paintball gun, and unscrew it. There is no unpleasant hiss, and it helps your o-ring last longer.

Anti-siphon kits do wonders for CO2. The problem with CO2 is that when it is inside your paintball tank, part of it is a liquid, and another part of it is a gas. When it comes to shooting a paintball gun, gas is good.
