Marine Picture Work Suggestions
Written by Robin Flores on August 31, 2010 – 8:08 am -Every thing you can think of is already invented and available on the market. Now even cameras have the ability to go above their previous limitations. If before a camera could only capture photos of things that may be seen on land, with the help of technology, even fish can now share their moments through the camera lens.
It truly is human nature to be unsatisfied with what we’ve got. Often times, humans want new things, something totally fresh, something interesting, and something uncommon. For this reason, underwater photography caught the interest of all people – either they want to learn to capture an underwater photo themselves, or they’re just attracted by the photos shot underneath the ocean.
Should you belong to those who wish to take shots underwater, then these few tips might help you.
Underwater photography is, as the term implies, capturing pictures under water. Basically, the principles of underwater photography are just the same as in normal photography, however, taking shots in a very different environment may require some more effort than taking a photo in a waterless environment.

How To Install An Above Ground Pool Pump
Written by Steven Short on August 23, 2010 – 12:42 pm -Cleaning an above ground pool requires an above ground pool pump. The purpose of the pumps is to push the water in and out of the pool. It is simple for an individual to install, not like for in ground pools. Installing a pump for your pool can take up to an hour but once you are done, you are closer to swimming!
You need to measure the spot where you want the pump to be. For best results, keep it near the skimmer. This is where you will begin digging a hole for the patio block. This block is where the pump will stay on. Once you are done digging, place the block in the hole.
It is time for the skimmer to be connected. Find the clamps and put them close to the ends of the hose. Keep the clamps loose. There is a wall at the bottom of the skimmer, attach the hose there. Make the screws on the clamp tight. The other end needs to be attached to the pump. Tighten these screws.

Choosing The Right Above Ground Pool Cleaners
Written by Ron Miller on August 23, 2010 – 11:40 am -One of the nicest luxuries of summer is a swimming pool. They can make the heat more bearable, provide exercise for the entire family and can be a source of entertainment. There are a couple of drawbacks to owning one though; they are sometimes expensive to purchase and they can be difficult to keep clean. Above ground pool cleaners can make this job easier if you choose the right one.
There are several different styles that are available on the market that are great for the average homeowner. Suction-side, pressure-side and robotic cleaners are the most common vacuums to use for an above ground pool. Each one provides a certain degree of cleanliness, some better than others yet all sufficient for smaller pools. Personal likes or dislikes will determine which version you use for your needs.
A suction-side vacuum operates off of the suction side of a filtration system. These are usually much less expensive than other cleaners. They use your existing plumbing to attach an additional hose to that extends into the center of the pool. When your filtration system is turned on, the head on the additional hose gently travels around the floor scraping debris up so it can be filtered through the pump.

They’re a great way to enjoy your pool more often and extend the swim season by a few months at least. Here’s some useful information to help you make a decision about a model.
There are so many models and options to think about and the price range is rather impressive, with some as little as a couple hundred dollars while others cost several thousand. Think of how much you’re going to budget for your heater and then start looking at what models fall into your price range.
Once you’ve decided on how much you want to spend, you’ll then have to consider what you want the fuel to be for your heater, because that too can affect the price. There are solar, electric, gas, and propane models available, and what you choose will affect installation. A gas heater, for instance, will require you to have a gas pipe run through your yard to the pool if you haven’t got one yet.

7 Things To You Should Know About Putting In A Pool
Written by Susan Hu on August 13, 2010 – 10:58 am -A swimming pool in your own backyard may seem like the epitome of luxury and in some ways, it is. Spending the lazy days of summer relaxing in your own swimming pool with no crowds to fight and no scheduled hours to contend with is indeed pleasant. However, a pool is a commitment that requires a fair amount of work and expense in exchange for the privileges. Where you live, how much use your pool will get, and how much time you can commit to its maintenance are all factors that play a role in deciding if you should install a pool.
In-Ground Pools Versus Above-Ground Pools
There are essentially two types of swimming pools, in-ground and above-ground. An in-ground pool is by far the greater expense but it’s typically the longer-lasting choice. An in-ground pool has several advantages over its above-ground counterpart, with the primary advantage being size and varied depth. Conversely, an above-ground pool is typically less of an initial investment and, while limited in size and depth, can be a good alternative. Years ago, above-ground pools were considered less aesthetic; however modern designs have incorporated more varied styles, trim packages and decking that make them considerably more attractive.

Creatures Of Water And Darkness
Written by Todd Cook on August 10, 2010 – 5:46 am -The world underneath the ocean contains millions of unknown monsters. These creatures are not monsters with scary appearances but are named monsters because of the huge size of their kind. Deep into the ocean, everything is pretty much dark. This is because light cannot penetrate into such depth. There is also shortage of oxygen deep into the ocean. Some animals have the ability to create their own light. They do this to attract their prey and keep off predators. Apart from lacking light and oxygen, underwater fish and plants have adapted themselves to these conditions. We may notice that underwater plants lack the usual green color due to absence of sunlight for photosynthesis. This alien world contains endless wonders we are yet to see.
Practices to bring these creatures on surfaces failed but this did not quench the people’s thirst. People from all over the world are making great efforts to capture the beauty of different species of the ocean. Underwater photography is best if one has learnt the art of photography well. In order to achieve better results with these, the use of the underwater digital camera is highly recommended. Underwater housing also can be bought for the digital camera used. These equipments are waterproof and designed specially with better photos capture capability. The difference between these cameras is that it is waterproof. It is therefore not a good idea to ignore the user manual provided with the camera and test it in a fully filled bath tub. One should know to use these cameras with safety.

How To Keep Kids Safe At Water Parks
Written by Kenny Montgomery on August 8, 2010 – 6:33 am -Kids like water and water parks are a great place to have fun. With its various wave pools, giant slides, and squirting fountains, water parks give visitors numerous ways to beat the summer heat. Before dipping in the water. however, you should read this. Because some pools can be difficult for kids, here’s how to avoid trouble:
Know how to swim. That may sound ridiculous but several non-swimmers visit water parks thinking its okay. Teach your kids to swim at an early age so they wont have problems in the water. Take swimming classes yourself in the event that you have to save your kid. If your child cant swim, make him wear a life jacket. Don’t play with fate.
Inspect the location. Before visiting a water park, check if it has lots of lifeguards. Examine where they are located and if they can easily attend to an emergency. Before going on a ride, take note of the signs to know if its okay for you or your child. Is your kid big enough for the ride? How deep is the water? Do you or your kid have health problems that are unsuitable for the ride? If you’re not certain, go ask.
