South Africa Must Keep The Rugby Ball
Written by Jon Hunter on July 30, 2010 – 5:33 am -After suffer yet another another loss away from home last weekend the Springboks must learn to keep the rugby ball in hand rather than kicking possession away. Their negative style of play sees them kicking the ball away too often; the last match saw the wallabies kicking the ball in touch 11 times compared to South Africa’s 16.
This tactical focus shows to vastly different approaches to the game with Australia playing fast rugby with ball in hand, compared to South Africa playing a more powerful, slow, kicking game which is more reminiscent of England’s style of play, than southern hemisphere rugby.
The style is causing the springboks numerous issues at the breakdown where they feel the need both to challenge strongly to turn the ball over, and also challenge illegally to slow the ball down. Many times in the match South African players could be seen lying over the ball or interfering at the back of the scrum.
This tactical bending of the rules which there kicking game enforces was responsible for a much higher penalty count against them, and the yellow card given to BJ Botha. Both of which were key to the final result the recent match.

A History Of Spalding And How It Became The Best Basketball Name In The World
Written by Homer Morrison on July 28, 2010 – 11:36 am -Spalding has become one of the most sought after and highly regarded basketballs. This company that produces Spalding line of balls was started as early as the year 1876 by Albert Goodwill Spalding, to produce suitable balls specifically for basketball game.
According to the general survey, it has been found that Spalding is now a global leader in basketballs that can only compete with other well known market brands like the Nike, Rawlings, Wilson and Mikasa.
These have been the only accepted brands that are recommended by the NBA since 1983. They are seen as very durable and suited for both the indoor and outdoor games. They are also favored because of their affordability unlike the other brands like Nike.
Take for example, a Spalding All Surface Composite Leather ball can sell on SportDepot.com for as little as $30. The name also suggests that this ball has been made for both the indoor and outdoor play. It comes with a soft composite leather shell, marked with deep grooves to improve grip and bounce.
Both the NBA, and WNBA basketballs that are produced by Spalding measure 29.5″ circumference and the one for women measures 28.5″. These sizes are officially known as size 7 for men and 6 for women.

Different Types Of Golf Balls
Written by Antonia Crow on July 5, 2010 – 10:29 am -It is interesting to see how many different kinds of golf balls are in the market. There are so many, it seems like new ones show up every week. Golf balls are a big business as giants like Titleist, Callaway and Nike compete for your golf dollar. The real question is what is the difference between the balls?
Buying used golf balls are a great way to save money and compare products. Most of them will be in great condition, and often cost up to 50% less than original balls. Some shops are physical stores, while others can be found on the internet. It may take a little searching, but it’s worth it.
Dont waste money on expensive balls if you are a high handicap player. Spend your money on cheap balls, because at your skill level, you won’t know the difference anyway. The cheaper balls are perfect for those have high handicaps.
If you are a player that falls into this category, keep your money and invest in lessons or good clubs. Getting inexpensive balls at any sporting goods retailer is easy.
