The Number One Means To Handle Your Employees
Written by Melissa Mills on February 23, 2010 – 4:23 pm -It is a given that most people who worked in an office or other business have had to deal with a boss who was not too pleasant, pretty negative and really demanding. That situation can make the workday awful and you would not even want to be there.
Let’s say you were in a similar situation before; you are definitely not alone. So many folks do not like their boss because of the treatment they get from them while at work.
If you happen to actually be a boss, treating the employees who work under you nicely and fairly goes a long way towards getting the results you want. Treat them like you would want to be treated.
Let’s talk about some of the strategies that can be implemented by you with regards to giving your employees the correct treatment. You will find that doing this right will work wonders.
First, empathize with the human side of any of your employees. Learn about them and the things that matter most to them.
A lot of supervisors just do not achieve that personal connection with all their subordinates, and this is what leads to an unpleasant employee/boss relationship that is seen all the time. You can set the firm rules and still have a nice, friendly relationship with your employees.

How To Promote Your Book
Written by Naomi Jennifer on February 11, 2010 – 2:24 pm -If you write a book, chances are you want it to be successful in order that you are able to continue writing for a living. When you just start out, it may be difficult to be able to afford public relations services to promote your book. So how do you get your work known on little-to-no budget?
Many authors have had the smart idea of writing books about how to promote their books. They are serving their own needs by catering to others just like them. Some books are better than others and some may be just scams. However, you should look at what these authors are doing to get their books bought in the first place. They use new technology which can be free. Use the internet. Create fan sites. Try to link yourself up with as many search engines and online retailers as you can.
Authors living in rural areas may actually sell more copies. It is nothing for someone from New York city to write a book and be published. Hundreds do it every week. But when you are from a small village in New England, people in your area will pay attention. You will get interviewed on local channels and by local papers. Use all of these opportunities, especially because it costs you nothing. Being a mysterious, reclusive writer should be saved for once you have actually become well-known. Then you can pick and choose your public appearances.
