Golden State Warriors in ‘09-’10 Season

The Golden State Warriors peaked when they defeated the 67 win Dallas Mavericks in the 07′ playoffs – since then they haven’t done much.

The 2007 playoffs for the Warriors was something they wish they can recreate, making the playoffs and winning the first round. The Warriors had the 2nd highest scoring average at 109 points per game but were the worst defensive team giving up 112 points per game, last in the NBA. If they ever hope to make the playoffs they can not give up that many points this coming season.

Things changed for the Warriors last season. Most notably, the loss of Baron Davis to the Los Angeles Clippers had a profound impact on the team, as any team would struggle to find its way after losing its best player.

Stephen Jackson was the leading scorer on the Warriors in 08-’09′ with 20 points per game followed by Jamal Crawford – who is not on the Warriors anymore.

Monte Ellis will need to have a huge year for the Warriors to go anywhere. Ellis only played 25 games last season and his absence was well missed -Ellis is a career 16 point per game scorer.  Read more...
