Highlights From The 09-10 NBA Basketball Season
Written by Jack Lake on March 6, 2010 – 5:47 pm -The plot in the world of basketball this season has been so twisted, so convoluted in terms of performances of some players as well as some of the news about particular players, it has made it an exciting game to follow.
In this article, I intend to look at both the good and the bad, the highlights and the lowlights of the 09 to 10 season.
The first thing we should recognize is some of the teams that have come out of nowhere and established themselves as very respectable basketball teams. There are two that stand out to me more than any others, and these were both two of the worst teams in the league last season.
The first of the two teams to mention is the Oklahoma City Thunder. No one imagined that they might become this successful in such a short space of time. The team can thank Kevin Durant for helping them to rise out so quickly from being one of the worst teams to being a successful team this season.
The second team that seemed to arise from nowhere is The Memphis Grizzlies. These guys are simply shocking, as unlike the Oklahoma City Thunder, people had no idea that this team would ever make it into the season.

Bicycling with Children
Written by Nancy Sathre-Vogel on March 5, 2010 – 4:09 pm -Parents around the world dream of heading out to see the world with their children. They’ll spend their days exploring the deserts of the Egyptian pyramids or gaze upon the dusty rose colored Taj Majal under a full moon. They’ll travel on buses, planes, trains, and donkey carts. But on bicycle? Exploring the world with kids on bikes?
With our children, my husband and I have now traveled 21,000 miles through twelve countries with our 12-year-old twin boys. We’ve discovered that traveling on bikes with kids is the best way to see the world.
Most families opt for buses or planes to travel the world, but they miss a lot that way. The motor allows you to easily reach the next city, so you tend to skip the small villages. However, it’s the small villages that have retained the character of the country. In today’s world, cities have become increasingly generic, but villages have not. Travel on bike allows you to spend time in the villages, thereby getting to know the countries you pass through more intimately.

The Most Meaningful Strength A Tennis Player Can Possess
Written by Carla Donaldson on March 4, 2010 – 6:03 pm -As tennis continues to grow its fans and players will always be arguing on what determines a good player and which skills are the most important to have.
So it’s all just conjecture really, but it’s still worth having a debate over just for the fun of it and there are many aspects of the sport to choose from.
Some very important aspects are listed. Are there any that you would find most important?
What about volleying? A game that it going too smoothly can become a disadvantage for opponents as point may easily be lost. Just take a look back at players of the past such as John McEnroe.
What about baseline play, is that important? Many experts would say that it is the more modern approach as opposed to playing at the net. Take Rafael Nadal for example, he spends a lot of time hanging at the back of the court rather that up at the net. And other players such as Andy Roddick have changed tactics in favour of the baseline play.

The Standout Players To Watch In The Current Year Of Tennis
Written by Hallie Cooper on March 3, 2010 – 4:55 pm -The Australian Open once again got the tennis year off to a great start and whetted out appetite for the forthcoming season. The master they call Roger Federer once again lifted that famous trophy, sending out a warning to all his opponents that he’s still the man to beat.
Don’t assume, however, at this early stage, it’s going to be the same winners at all the Majors. There are a few good players just waiting to seize the moment and lift a few big titles themselves. Here are a few who showed great promise last year, and this could well be their time to shine.
Melanie Oudin, the 18 year old American, had a terrific 2009 and could really break through this year. Reaching the semi final in the US Open was the highlight of last year, who’s to say she won’t do even better this year?
With time on her side to improve even further and grow in strength and confidence, you can bet that her competitors are keeping an eye on her.
Still a teenager, there is still plenty of time for Oudin’s all round game to grow and mature, A fact her competitors will be well aware of and hoping they aren’t drawn against her.

Comfort Bike Diamondback Wildwood Deluxe (26-Inch Wheels) for Men
Written by Petar Ivanov on March 3, 2010 – 3:31 pm -I could not be happier with my purchase of Diamondback Wildwood Deluxe Bike .I wanted a bike I could commute to work on, but I don’t like the weird curvy handlebars on ‘road bikes’. It’s more upright so it feels better on my back. It’s got a great range of gears so I can ride hills or trails with ease. Great bike and this is an awesome price. Saving a ton of money on gas, and feeling healthier too! I bought the Diamondback Wildwood Deluxe and it works perfect for me.
As a bike rider for years I wanted a hop on bike mostly for when I wanted a relaxed bike to ride neighborhood paths & quick trips to the local store. The Diamondback Deluxe gave me all that plus great handling, so comfortable & fun I look for excuses to jump on & ride it. I’ve never had a more comfortable ride.
This is Diamondbacks top of the line comfort bike, the trigger shifters are a huge advantage over the grip shifters on cheaper models, as well as the frame, derailleurs, and really all other componentry. Basically this bike is selling for what the all steel model goes for, and is much better then it.

Online Golf Lessons – Advantage Or Disadvantage?
Written by Steven Watts on March 2, 2010 – 3:31 pm -Golf is a great game. It is also one of the most frustrating ones. Most people play for years and never seem to get better. Let us explore this topic to determine why this is the case. When people play golf they are seeking some physical activity while enjoying some competition. This is fine, but spending 4 or 5 hours playing around and experiencing nothing but frustration is not really a great day! With online golf lessons you can improve your game and become the one thing golfers strive for and that is consistent.
Taking lessons from a golf Professional is costly and time consuming. Working with an online coach can give you the same results, but it will require you to spend more time on the practice range. The biggest challenge most golfers have is that they create bad habits for themselves. This means that although they strike the ball better one day, they may be doing many other things incorrectly, so this is hard to duplicate.

Improve Your Body Mass Soon
Written by david Johnson on March 2, 2010 – 9:56 am -One of the newest and most well liked strategies for losing pounds today is turbulence training. In the world of weightloss, there is always a more recent, quicker, better strategy of losing undesired pounds and unsightly fat. Oprah customarily has the mastermind of the newest craze on her show, and suddenly your junk e-mail filter is filled with ads for the new product. 3 months later on somebody else appears on the show, with a new diet, a new supplement, a new metabolism booster, and the junk e-mail filters start filling up once again.
This doesn’t answer the question : “Is turbulence training just another trend in the never-ending cycle?” To discover the answer, one needs to know just what turbulence training is, exactly, and what it is not.
Turbulence coaching, according to the programs founder, Craig Ballantyne, is interval training with dumbbells, and weight training using one’s own body weight, designed specifically for quick fat loss. It is designed to burn energy not only during exercise programmes, but also between workouts, and can be done from the comfort of your home, without joining a health or fitness club or using high-dollar machines. All that is needed is an exercise ball, some dumbbells, and maybe a chin-up bar if you are extremely robust, and a bench to incline your feet. This can be done in three short exercise programs per week.
