The History Of Blackpool Football Club
Written by Andy McDonald on July 26, 2010 – 4:36 am -Blackpool has established itself as the 44th club to play in the Premier League and the holiday town in Lancashire is getting ready to accommodate those who decide to stay the weekend in one of the B&B’s in Blackpool. The history of the Blackpool Football Club starts some hundred and thirty years ago, when Reverend James Wayman established the Victoria Football Club in 1877. Its initial location was on Manchester’s Field in Blackpool. In the first decade, the Victoria club broke up and its old members joined together to found the Blackpool St. Johns team. Then in 1887, a dispute among those same players led to the Blackpool St. Johns team becoming the Blackpool Football Club.
In 1888, the F.C. helped to found the Lancashire League. It competed in eight winning seasons and even scored a championship title in the 1893-94 season. In spring of 1896, the Blackpool Football Club developed into a Limited Company worth 2,000 pounds. Then, only two months later, it joined the Football League. Its first Football League match took place in Lincoln City on September 5th, 1896. The game drew 2,000 fans, and the club’s first League goal was scored by Charles Mount.

Golf Swing Problem – Golf Slice Remedy
Written by David Versilles on June 27, 2010 – 11:06 am -One of the most annoying issues when hitting a golf ball is that you might unintentionally let out a golf slice and this can hold true especially for beginners who lack the consistency in their golf swing, and even professionals tend to suffer from this from time to time.
So if this can even happen to a professional, what can we do to cure it? The answer can be simple once you understand about how golf slice really works.
Golf slice is usually used when you are trying to avoid a tree or obstacle in the course and it will fly from the left to the right, however a bad golf slice is one that is uncontrollable and often exaggerated, on the other hand if your ball is flying from the right to left then you are doing a golf hook. These slices and hooks does not happen unintentionally or by chance, it is a direct result of where your club is facing when the swing lands.
There are a few basic ways to tackle this annoying issue:

Snorkeling And Diving Vacation Tips
Written by Adriana Noton on June 14, 2010 – 4:11 am -Scuba diving and snorkeling are always a popular vacation activity. Snorkeling is particularly easy and fun for every family member, including the children. Scuba diving and snorkeling allows people to view a beautiful under world not often seen. When planning a scuba diving and snorkeling vacation, it is important to be aware of such considerations as what to bring and safety measures.
1. When you are booking your flight, it is important to tell the airline that you are a diver and you may require a larger baggage allowance. As well, find out if there are any additional fees for extra baggage and what preparations have to be made to ensure there are no issues when checking in. Remember, you will likely be bringing a tank, air regulator, supply regulator, pressure gauge, tank harness, pair of diving fins, snorkel, and face mask and fins. If you book your flight through a travel site, you may be able to get a cheaper price if you pay ahead instead of paying when you check-in.

The Top 5 Pre-Trip Checklist For Golf Holidays
Written by Louise J. Brooks on March 27, 2010 – 7:26 am -Preparing for a regular holiday consists of a fairly standard to do list. A golf holiday requires some extra action items to confirm in the week before departing that will help the holiday go smoothly and ensure you get to golf. The following items cover the fundamentals for most holidaying golfers.
Medication & First Aid: A simplified first-aid kit should be prepared for packing. If you intend golfing each day then any minor injuries can really take their toll over your holiday so prepare to bring aspirin, plasters, insect repellent, indigestion tablets, diarrhoea medicine, sunscreen, contact lenses (and spare ones), spectacles and travel sickness medicine.
Most of these could be picked up on arrival but doing that would eat into your holiday time. A worthy addition is heat packs and cold packs as the muscle strain involved in golfing daily may prove more than your body can take.
Bookings: Email or phone the courses you intend playing to confirm your tee-time is booked. Make a note of any booking references you may need along with tee-times and a map/directions to the course (especially if you are renting a car).

Elite Cruises
Written by Owen Jones on March 9, 2010 – 3:54 pm -Vacationing on a cruise liner is rightly considered to be elite and luxurious. It is certainly the best type of vacation that I have ever had. The luxury far surpasses staying in a five star hotel. On the other hand, it is like an elite all inclusive holiday, because once on board, all the entertainment and all your food is free. Alcoholic drinks must be paid for, but then they are duty free.
If you have never been on a cruise before you really must try it. I would not recommend it as a family vacation, but I have seen families on cruises. Cruising might suit a family with older children or you might find a cruise which is planned with children in mind. However, in my experience, your average cruiser is over 50 and married.
I know that they do 18-30 cruises and all kinds of themed cruises, but if you just go on a standard cruise, most of your fellow passengers will be older. Many of them are celebrating something too – retirement, Golden Wedding Anniversary, 70th birthday, that sort of thing. These people want a peaceful time and do not really want children running around and jumping in and out of the pool. Dinner can be late and the evening’s entertainment is not child orientated either. If you want to take children, look for a specialty cruise.

The Luxury Of A Caribbean Cruise
Written by Owen Jones on February 27, 2010 – 2:03 pm -People work harder these days than ever before. If not physically harder then longer hours and we are entitled to a break from that once in a while. The majority of us go on holiday and we look forward to it months in advance and we plan for it even further ahead. Where do you like to go or what do you like to do? I personally prefer to go on a cruise and a Caribbean cruise is a good choice.
People believe a cruise, specially a Caribbean cruise as being expensive, and cruise operators want to maintain that elite image, but I see the cruise as being an up-market all inclusive holiday. In all probability, it is the original all inclusive holiday, because once you walk up and off that gang plank, everything aside from drinks is free. Everything and everything is first class hotel style too! We are not talking pizza and chips here, but five or six course meals and five or six times a day.

Blue Mountain Chalets: A Whole New World Of Family Fun.
Written by Adriana Noton on February 20, 2010 – 7:52 am -A vacation in the Blue Mountain region close to Ontario in Canada will expose your family to a whole new world of fun. No matter what time of the year you go, there will at any stage be lots to see and do. For the family man it simply doesn’t get any better than a stay at one of the various Blue Mountain chalets.
For a family or 4 or more, chalet accommodation makes perfect sense cost wise if compared to a stay in a hotel. Should you stay in a hotel, you will have to rent at least two rooms, which will sharply increase the cost of your holiday. To pay for two rooms in a hotel for a week or more will make a serious dent in the family budget and simply mean that there is a lot less money available to do all the things that you planned to do.
Something else to remember is that if you stay in a hotel there will be no facilities to prepare meals for the family. You will therefore have to eat all meals either in one of the hotel’s restaurants or somewhere in town. This fact alone will sharply increase the total cost of your holiday and once again mean that there is less money to spend on other things.
