A Couple Of The Benefits Of A coach Holiday In The UK

Written by Craig Walker on March 13, 2010 – 1:09 pm -

Have you ever considered the benefits of a coach holiday in the UK? Why should anyone choose this type of holiday over other options? You could go on a self-drive holiday, take the train or fly and drive for example? In this short discussion we will briefly examine the reasons a coach holiday is better than any of the other options.

The primary benefit you will get from a coach vacation is that you can simply sit back, take in the scenery and start to unwind completely. You’ve worked your fingers to the bone the whole year. You are stressed out and tired.

Why increase your stress levels further by taking a car and thereby exposing yourself to all the stresses of the road? If you drive yourself you will need a map, and you will need someone to navigate for you.

Going it alone also means reserving accommodation in advance at all the towns you plan to visit. Either this or you will be forced to rush around at every new town trying to find suitable accommodation in your price range. All this takes time ‘ and eats away at the time you will have available to enjoy yourself in the end.

You Must Know the Maldives has the Snorkeling in the World?

Written by Rudy Damascus on March 13, 2010 – 12:11 pm -

The Maldives is an small island nation consisting of over a 1,100 tiny coral islands strewn across the Indian Ocean. It’s a snorkeling and scuba diving heaven and one that’s popular all year round primarily due to its temperate climate. The Maldives averages thirty degrees Celsius all year long or 86 degrees F.

Simply put, the Maldives provide an ideal snorkeling and scuba diving location teeming with exotic schools of fish of many species. Just to name a few, there are black and white snappers, humpback snappers, barracuda, unicornfish, yellowback fusiliers, trevally jacks.

Maldives snorkeling and diving is unparalleled the world over. The sheer number and types of fish found here is awe inspiring. Divers and snorkelers will never experience a boring moment, nor will they ever experience the exact dive experience twice! There are too many species of aquatic life to discover on any single dive; one really needs to go several times to get an appreciation of the awe inspiring life residing in these waters.

Seasoned snorkelers and scuba divers suggest traveling to the Maldives when water visibility is at its peak; between January and March. Other times of the year, water visibility can be murky. Dive novices charter boats in Male, the capital city. However, experienced divers preferring remote locations can charter boats to take them to the outer reaches where its less inhabited.

Elite Cruises

Written by Owen Jones on March 9, 2010 – 3:54 pm -

Vacationing on a cruise liner is rightly considered to be elite and luxurious. It is certainly the best type of vacation that I have ever had. The luxury far surpasses staying in a five star hotel. On the other hand, it is like an elite all inclusive holiday, because once on board, all the entertainment and all your food is free. Alcoholic drinks must be paid for, but then they are duty free.

If you have never been on a cruise before you really must try it. I would not recommend it as a family vacation, but I have seen families on cruises. Cruising might suit a family with older children or you might find a cruise which is planned with children in mind. However, in my experience, your average cruiser is over 50 and married.

I know that they do 18-30 cruises and all kinds of themed cruises, but if you just go on a standard cruise, most of your fellow passengers will be older. Many of them are celebrating something too – retirement, Golden Wedding Anniversary, 70th birthday, that sort of thing. These people want a peaceful time and do not really want children running around and jumping in and out of the pool. Dinner can be late and the evening’s entertainment is not child orientated either. If you want to take children, look for a specialty cruise.

Bicycling with Children

Written by Nancy Sathre-Vogel on March 5, 2010 – 4:09 pm -

Parents around the world dream of heading out to see the world with their children. They’ll spend their days exploring the deserts of the Egyptian pyramids or gaze upon the dusty rose colored Taj Majal under a full moon. They’ll travel on buses, planes, trains, and donkey carts. But on bicycle? Exploring the world with kids on bikes?

With our children, my husband and I have now traveled 21,000 miles through twelve countries with our 12-year-old twin boys. We’ve discovered that traveling on bikes with kids is the best way to see the world.

Most families opt for buses or planes to travel the world, but they miss a lot that way. The motor allows you to easily reach the next city, so you tend to skip the small villages. However, it’s the small villages that have retained the character of the country. In today’s world, cities have become increasingly generic, but villages have not. Travel on bike allows you to spend time in the villages, thereby getting to know the countries you pass through more intimately.

How To Take Young Children On A Bicycle Tour

Written by Nancy Sathre-Vogel on March 5, 2010 – 4:01 pm -

Many people think they have to wait until their children are teenagers before heading out on a bicycle tour with them. But bicycling with small children can be a fabulous experience for all involved. There are a number of options available for touring with kids:

Trailers: Trailers are a great way to carry small children. Up to about age 3, this is your only option but older than that it might still be a good option, depending on your child. Pay attention to the needs of your child – some will be comfortable in the trailer, while other want to help out with the pedaling.

Trailers are wonderful in many ways. Kids can sleep easily while the parents pedal. When they wake up, they can either enjoy the surrounding countryside or play with toys stashed in the trailer with them. In addition, you may be able to store additional gear in the trailer with your child.

Trailer bikes: At age 3 or 4, your child will most likely be ready to transition to a trailer bike – a one-wheeled contraption that is hooked on to your bike. These are great in that your child can help you pedal and therefore feels more a part of the team.

Wayne Rooney Scores Twice In Man U Victory Over AC Milan

Written by Ross Everett on February 28, 2010 – 7:28 am -

Manchester United is in good shape to advance to the Champions League soccer quarterfinals following a 3-2 win over AC Milan at the San Siro. The competition itself was overshadowed by the fact that it was the first time that David Beckham had played against his old team since leaving Old Trafford in 2003, and Wayne Rooney squashed Milan’s early hopes with two goals to put the game on ice. Clarance Seedorf scored at the 85 minute mark to make the score respectable, but Man U controlled play after the halftime break.

AC Milan got on the board first just three minutes into the game as Beckham set up Ronaldinho’s goal that sent the San Siro into a frenzy. Paul Scholes evened the score at the 36 minute mark and the teams went into the halftime break tied at 1-1. Rooney would net his first goal at the 66 minute mark and would score again just 8 minutes later to give Man U a 3-1 lead.

The 24 year old Rooney is becoming recognized as one of the best strikers in soccer. He’s now got 25 goals on the year with 19 games left to play. He’s also received high marks from the soccer press for his playmaking, heady play and overall attitude. The consensus is that he’s already one of the best in the world and is only getting better.

Lyon Beats Real Madrid In Champions League Play

Written by Ross Everett on February 28, 2010 – 6:25 am -

Jean Makoun scored early in the second half to give Lyon a hard fought 1-0 victory in the first leg of their round of 16 Champions League matchup against Real Madrid. The Spanish champions lost for the third straight time on Lyon’s Stade Gerland home field and will now have an uphill battle when the teams meet at Bernabeu to advance to the next round. With the Champions League final slated to be held in their stadium, an exit this early in the competition would be nothing short of an embarrassment for Real Madrid.

Lyon controlled the play in the first half and held a decisive possession advantage. Unfortunately, they didn’t get many accurate scoring chances with a number of them going wide or high of the net. Despite Lyon’s time of possession advantage in the first half, Madrid actually got the best scoring chances in the first half. Following Makoun’s goal just 2 minutes from the start of the second half, Madrid controlled play but could not score the equalizer. For the game, Madrid held a 66% to 34% time of possession advantage. The shots on goal were even, but Madrid had the better chances despite not scoring on them.
