The Range Of Series Of Callaway 3 Wood Currently Available
Written by Bob Thompson on January 24, 2010 – 1:56 pm -There are currently four different types of a Callaway 3 wood available, they are Big Bertha Diablo, FT-i Squareway, the X-Hot and the FT. These three woods provide different effects and are dependent upon the type of swing of the golfer. I will briefly discuss the main differences between each and inform you of the benefit of the specific enhancement.
The Big Bertha Diablo range has a strategically shaped clubhead and this assists in providing a longer and more accurate shot.
FT-i Squareway has a squareway inertial design placing the weight of the club head in the most extreme corners of the club. The result of this is that the club is loss prone to twisting throughout the swing action.
A club designed to stop the back and forth rocking of the club is the X-Hot this ensures that your shot will always start off on target. This feature is achieved thanks to the patented design which sees the club head rest upon to sections of the sole of the club.
The Callaway FT series of clubs are created using a variety of metals this allows for greater callibration of the center of gravity of the club head and thus an even sweeter sweet spot resulting in increased trajectory and shaping of the shot.
A 3-wood generally has a loft of between 13 and 15 degrees. This is angle at which the club face slopes. The average golfer should be able to hit a golf ball with a three wood around 250 yards. Typically a 3 wood should be used when a driver is not appropriate off the tee, off the fairway and when in the rough but only when the ball has a good lie.
As the amount of investment within Golf has increased so has the research that goes into the production of the clubs themselves. As such the market has been inundated with a variety of clubs to suit different kinds of swings, the best way to determine which is right for you is to go to a driving range with them and try them out. Most driving ranges allow for different clubs to be sampled so you won’t have to buy them first.
As I said before many metals are used to create clubs however steel and titanium alloy are the most common. Steel clubs are a lot cheaper than titanium clubs so would be better for the beginner however the titanium clubs produce much more power within the shot due to their lighter weight.
These metals as discussed above are also used for fairway woods too. The higher the wood the more loft that is achieved with it. An increase in loft means the ball will travel higher in the air and therefore a smaller length away from you.
The longest club in a Golfers bag is usually the 1-wood then followed by the 3 wood, 2 woods are available but are rarely used. Woods are good alternatives to drivers for beginners as they have a smaller face and as such make it easier to hit the ball.
Use one of the best clubs out there by buying the Callaway 3 wood in your bag. Look online to find great costs, even on a nice canvas field bag to use. Go online now and find out more.
